Letter to Congressman Meehan

Dear Congressman Meehan,

I look forward to your retirement from politics following your recent disgrace involving use of taxpayer money to pay off your office crush. I also look forward to reading reports verifying that the funds have been repaid from your own pocket.

I voted for you last election despite your failure to support your party’s nominee. As has so often been the case these past twelve months, “NeverTrumpers” have proven themselves unfit and undeserving of the honor of representing the People in Congress.

But I will spare you a diatribe; just know that I will be happy to see you and many of your ilk slink off into the shadows before much longer. America has truly had enough of corruption and criminality among its representatives in government.

Before you leave public life, however, I urge you to do at least this one redeeming act, which would be of significant and immediate benefit to the American people: Release the House Intelligence Committee’s FISA memo, unredacted.

Or leak it. Either way. Seriously, what have you got to lose?

But do it now.
